Mark Sanford’s “weird your way to winning” campaign strategy comes replete with moves such as getting sued for harassing his ex-wife and “debating” (and still somehow losing to) a cardboard cutout of Nancy Pelosi. Sanford, a Republican, is running in a special congressional election on May 7 in South Carolina against Elizabeth Colbert Busch, who has the added advantage of being Stephen Colbert’s sister. Now, the head-scratching tactics have caught on with those shadowy third party operations that run push polls. As Think Progress writes, voters in South Carolina claim to have received push polls from Survey Sampling International, at the behest of a non-disclosed client, that ask a bunch of leading questions about Sanford’s Democratic opponent. A sample of the reported questions:
- “What would you think of Elizabeth Colbert Busch if I told you she had had an abortion?”
A Southern Republican, pushing misogynist nonsense? Sky, blue?
Congressman Lamar Smith of Texas really does not understand science. Not scientific method, not scientific theories or laws, none of it. Which is why he submitted a bill draft titled the “High Quality Research Act” which would in effect add a politician into scientific studies.
The bill says that any research done using federal funds (which is the majority of research done in the United States) must have its results and finding approved by the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate and the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology of the House of Representatives. If the findings are not agreed to, the research is taken from the researchers and disposed of by Congress as it sees fit.
Small government? You’re doing it wrong, Lamar!
Well, she doesn’t really look like a corpse, she’s just creepy. You know what she actually looks like, though? She looks like someone who knows what she’s saying is wrong, but her rage supersedes her intellect. She visibly shakes and her voice warbles and deepens, like she’s choking on her words and her infantile insistence on provoking people reveals her social ineptness. It shows she’s a person who’s only understanding of self-expression is causing angry reactions in others, like, as if that reveals them to be hypocrites and, in her mind, makes her the victor. You know that line in the Dark Knight when Batman asks the Joker “What were you trying to prove? That deep down everyone’s as ugly as you?” He might just as well have been talking about Ann Coulter. Her dead eyes only seem to light up when you raise your voice and in that sense, she’s more like a zombie than a corpse. So, I stand corrected. She’s kind of a zombie-looking shitstain of a human failure.
The article neglects to mention that the holiday was created to honor Lenin’s 100th birthday and that future leftist Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Spector was the Unicorn Killer’s lawyer. But, it’s NBC News, so I’m shocked they published this story at all.
I just want to remind everyone how insane these right wing jackasses really are. Earth Day is a covert communist plot to celebrate Lenin, folks. That’s how far removed from reality this dumbfuck really is.
I get that there are anti-government racist right-wing extremists and there are Islamist extremists, but we should all acknowledge that within Islam, the terrorists are the right-wing faction of that cohort. Within the Islamic community the Islamists are at the far, far right. They’re the extreme Conservatives. Within the US Conservative community, anti-government racist right-wing extremists are at the far, far right. They’re the extreme Conservatives.
No matter which group you’re talking about, in any situation, they’re all right-wing extremists.
Old-world, ancient thinking, a dependence on tradition and nationalism, tribalism, religion links both groups. Liberal Muslims aren’t like this. Liberal Muslims vote for women like Benazir Bhutto. Liberal Muslims work for Hillary Clinton.
I’m not going to educate myself on rape culture.
I don’t educate myself things I find useless.
But, how would you know if you find them useless if you don’t even know what the fuck you’re talking about?
These include womens studies, liberal arts, and rape culture just to name the top three.
LIBERAL ARTS. Do you know what liberal arts are? You pretty much just wrote off everything. You are a stupid, stupid person.
If this generation all ready
“all ready.” I’d make fun of you for not being able to spell a third grade word, but English is a liberal art, so I guess you find it useless.
has such a problem and promotes what you call rape culture, maybe you should get off the internet and reach out to these people who society has apparently taught that rape is acceptable as you all put it.
Yeah, what’s wrong with us, thinking we could reach people on the internet! Feh!
The sooner you realize we live in a horrible world in general, the quicker you will realize that no matter what, you can’t tell people to do something, or put the blame on other’s the better off you’ll be.
I can tell you live in a horrible world.
Instead of telling rapists they’re horrible people who broke a law and violated someone in a way that will effect
them for the rest of their lives, we just tell them that society made them that way and cuddle them and tell them it will be ok?
I’d act surprised that you think this is what people say when they talk about rape culture, but you pretty much admitted how much you love your ignorance at the top of this post, so, I don’t find it at all surprising that you’ve devised some straw man nonsense. You may be interested to know, if you don’t find it useless, that the only thing you’re expressing today is that you’re the kind of a person no one would be surprised to see sporting an aluminum foil hat.
Oh hell no.
Everyone needs to take responsibility for their actions. I don’t care what you’re doing, saying, or what you feel you’re influencing. We live in a society that tells us someone else is going to take care of us, and that the media and those around us forced us to act a certain way.
Let us always remember this post in which a Conservative shitbag wrote off the entirety of liberal arts.
