What a disappointment.
I almost donated to them yesterday. Many, many pro-life people did. Komen said their contributions doubled. I hope they return those donations, but I’m not counting on it.
Many also donated to Planned Parenthood yesterday. Last I heard, they got about $400,000 from people protesting Komen.
So both organizations win on this. Pro-life people were robbed.
Yes, by vowing to continue to donate money to one of the top providers of women’s health in the entire country, and certainly among the underprivileged, the women’s health-focused Komen Foundation “caved.” You realize hundreds of thousands of women get a mammography through help from Planned Parenthood? You do realize about 3% of everything they do even involves abortion, right? Oh, but sorry, I forgot this charity set to help people who are nothing like you “robbed” you because they didn’t adhere to your political cause. What a pity, you’re right, you’re really the victim here.
The “pro-life” argument that Planned Parenthood is racist because Margaret Sanger was strikes me as very stupid. That’s like saying we shouldn’t use cotton because the plantation owners were racist and used slaves to cultivate it. It’s like a last ditch effort of someone who has no facts to support their claims.
Plus, it’s not really accurate to say she was a racist. That claim is based on quotes pulled out of context and designed to make her appear racist.
People really need to stop acting like he was a Planned Parenthood clerk.
Hey, look at you justifying a cold-blooded homicide. Thanks for allowing me to dismiss all your future opinions now that I know you’re an inhuman, lawless fuck.
Of his claim that more than 90% of what Planned Parenthood does, Sen. Kyl’s office has now said that the claim was not “intended to be a factual statement”, but just to demonstrate that Planned Parenthood does provide and make referrals to abortion.
So why not say that? When you use numbers, you are responsible for the validity of those numbers. Is it any wonder that these assholes are driving our government into the ground?
It’s my understanding that Republicans never mean for their statements to be factual.
