I just spent 30 minutes explaining my atheism to a nurse.
I wish I was kidding.
update: she told me that she had never had a person admit to being an atheist and that she thought it was brave. Then we had a nice condescending conversation about why I don’t believe in god. She liked to add things like ’ Well if you were broke down on the side of the road I’d still help you, ya know most people wouldn’t do that after finding out about you.’ (I told her I know that- most people wouldn’t stop, which is why I have AAA.) She actually gave me a hug to extend her christian charity my way before she left.
