Somebody had to stand up for poor old Bill O’Reilly after the news got out that copies of his book, Patriots and Pinheads that he sent to soldiers in Afghanistan ended up being burned instead of read. That someone ended up being Stephen Colbert on this Thursday’s edition of The Colbert Report

Troops in Afghanistan call Bill O’Reilly a “bigoted twerp.” SUPPORT THE TROOPS!

Ladies, let’s get something straight

The Republican field hates you. Now, I know what you’re thinking: ‘Oh, there’s that liberal ranting blah blah blah.’ Not this time, OK? I’m serious: Every single one of them sees you are less than human. Let’s take a look at what some are saying and if you’re against abortion or whatever, try to ignore the content and just check out the tone that Republicans use when talking about you. Tell me if you don’t feel a little dehumanized, whether or not you agree with the point:

"Not all Americans are comfortable with the Obama administration’s decision to mandate coverage of birth control and morning-after pills, and the considerations of these people, many of them Christian conservatives, are worthy of careful consideration — not mockery." — Ron Paul In other words, ‘some Christian men want to make decision for all American women and we should give those Christian men a voice!’

Look at the political base of the Democratic Party: It is single mothers who run a household. Why? Because it’s so tough economically that they look to the government for help and therefore they’re going to vote. So if you want to reduce the Democratic advantage, what you want to do is build two parent families, you eliminate that desire for government.” — Rick Santorum Only a stupid, pathetic, desperate person, like, for example, a woman with no husband would vote for a government program!

"What I believe is the right course as regards to abortion and life is that I would like to see the Supreme Court return this right to the states and let states create their own legislation with regards to life. That’s my view. And states will make different decisions which is their right to do so. And my view is that I’m not out campaigning for an amendment of some kind. I am campaigning to see justices ultimately appointed to the Supreme Court that will follow the Constitution, return to the states the right to make decision themselves." — Mitt Romney The current system, in which every individual woman can make a decision about an abortion is in the hands of the wrong people: Womenfolk! What we need to do is to remove it from their hands, like a pair of scissors from a child, and hand it to an adult, in this case, the state. Also, less government!

That’s not to even mention that Mitt doesn’t know how birth control pills work, but pledged against them anyway, because women are too irresponsible to make a personal health decision.

Herman Cain, seen here talking to a guy who thinks that all the Nazi’s were secretly homosexuals. Cain has said he’s against abortion even in cases of rape and incest AND that rape is murder. Therefore, he’s saying if a 13-year-old girl is raped by her uncle and becomes pregnant, she is the moral equivalent of Hannibal Lector. Can you really get behind that?

Rick Perry has created a condition in Texas in which birth control is more and more difficult to acquire. So, as pregnancies rise, especially among teens, where they’re among the highest, more women are being referred to abortion doctors, but Perry’s waiting there too with more and more restrictions on providers and patients. Wayne Christian (R-Nacogdoches), who supported Rick Perry’s culture war against Planned Parenthood in Texas said he supports the governor’s ‘war on birth control,’

"Well of course this is a war on birth control and abortions and everything — that’s what family planning is supposed to be about," Christian said.

See, ladies, you can’t take the pill, you can’t get an abortion, because Rick Perry is imposing his Christian will on you and forcing you, in his mind, to act as he thinks you ought to. But, you know, SMALLER GOVERNMENT, LOL.

And then there’s Michelle Bachmann. I’m sure you need very little explanation as to why she’s an embarrassment to women everywhere. If Bachmann is the sort of woman the religious right are used to seeing, it’s little wonder they have so little respect for you.

Not all Americans are comfortable with the Obama administration’s decision to mandate coverage of birth control and morning-after pills, and the considerations of these people, many of them Christian conservatives, are worthy of careful consideration — not mockery.

Ron Paul

Translation: Women are things owned by men and allowing women access to birth control, which the health insurance companies have more than enough money to fund every single woman in the country, means that men have less control over their possessions. Since some of those men are Christians, allowing their possessions (i.e. their women) to have access to contraceptives means that they won’t get to bring their things (their wives) with them to the next life, since they’ll be going to heaven and their women will be going to hell.

You guys really think this man stands for ‘personal liberty?’ You’ve been duped by a master con artist.

Redneck hillbilly loudmouth bullies people into forcing prayer into public school

Will it get to the point where we are completely stifling free speech and expression? Will it mean that what form of behavior will there be, will we be expecting boys to be girls?
I used to call Rick Perry “Raindancer,” but I may start calling him “Crackerhead” now.

Prove it wrong you Christian Conservative dipshits. Prove it wrong.

"Count me out if it’s for violence. Don’t expect me on the barricades unless it’s with flowers." — John Lennon.

He was right about it then and he’s fucking right about it now. The worst thing that can happen on Wall Street is for people to turn to violence. Those are the people who need to free their minds instead.
