Has Roger Ailes Hacked Phones for Fox "News"? →

timetruthhumor:

“Has Roger Ailes been keeping tabs on your phone calls?”

That’s how Portfolio.com began a post back in 2008, when a former Fox “News” executive charged that Ailes had outfitted a highly secured “brain room” in Fox’s New York headquarters for “counterintelligence” and may have used it to hack into private phone records.

All this week people have been looking for links between the Murdoch empire’s burgeoning phone-hacking scandal in Britain and News Corp.’s sprawling political/communications juggernaut in the United States. The links so far include a former New York City cop alleging that Murdoch’s now-defunct News of the World offered to pay him to hack into 9/11 victims’ phone records, and a News Corp. US shareholders’ suit in Delaware already targeting the company for nepotism adding British phone hacking as evidence of a corporate culture “run amuck.”

But rumors have floated in the press and on the Internet about possible phone hacking in that special-security-clearance-only bunker at Fox HQ for years. […]

Well, he was a member of the Nixon administration so tapping phones seems to be in his M.O.

Gawker uncovered an amazing document written by Fox News chief Roger Ailes in 1971 when he served as a consultant to President Richard Nixon. The plan was buried within Nixon’s presidential archives and explains how Republicans could circumvent the “prejudices of network news” and deliver “pro-administration” stories to television viewers.

Anti-American criminal Charles Colson continues to fight Apple Computers for barring his Manhattan Declaration app. The Manhattan Declaration is a statement of hate against homosexuals and those who support the rights of homosexuals signed by extremist Christian leader. Colson, who conveniently ‘converted’ to Christianity right before being sentenced for obstruction of justice (he should have been tried for treason along with Nixon, but that’s another story).

Colson is also a member of the powerful & secretive D.C. Christian cult The Family.

Here’s my issue: While Colson purports to be a member of the right wing ‘liberty’ movement, his concept of bullying Apple into distributing an app they feel would hurt their product is anti-free market and seeks to remove the rights of a company to make decisions on their own. He’s a hypocrite.

Former Washington Post editor Benjamin Bradlee said he was “baffled” that Colson and Gordon Liddy were “lecturing the world about public morality” considering their role in the Watergate scandal, and stated that “as far as I’m concerned they have no standing in the morality debate.”[44]

Missouri governor lets abortion law take effect

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon has allowed new requirements for that state’s abortion clinics to become law without his signature on the bill.
The governor’s office announced Nixon’s decision Wednesday — the deadline to sign or veto bills. If not signed by the governor, Missouri bills automatically become law.
The legislation will expand Missouri’s 24-hour abortion consent law by requiring clinics to give women the chance to view an ultrasound image and listen to the heartbeat of the fetus.
It also requires a consultation to occur in person instead of over the phone, and mandates that women receive a description of the physical characteristics of the fetus.
The new law is to take effect Aug. 28.
