Unpopular opinion

introvertedimperfectionist:

I’m Catholic and I am not against birth control

Even when I’m married

If I don’t want a baby but I wanna have sex

We’re using condoms

End of story

This was a poorly-put-together post. And I know it’s against Church teachings, but…

No one’s perfect x.x

While no one is perfect, introvertedimperfectionist, this opinion doesn’t make you any less perfect, there’s no need for you to apologize. You have a right to use birth control and no tyrannical, dogmatic monarchy can take that away from you. They can insist you don’t, they can shame you and insult you and admonish you, they can stand in front of you with a straight face and tell you they have a direct line to an all-powerful invisible creator of existence and you don’t and they’re going to tell on you and you can use your own critical thinking skills to determine whether that’s likely or not, but ultimately, you are the only one with the jurisdiction over your body. No two thousand year old self-interested misogynistic institution can ever take that away from you, even if they’re trying to convince you they can.

Take that steps. Assert your own bodily liberty and let one more link in the chain of religious oppression rust and crumble.
