Okay, I’ll probably lose like two-hundred followers from the first sentence of this but keep reading it.
So here are my views on gay rights and gay marriage.
(personally, I think people’s sex-lives belong in the bedroom, not on picket signs and the internet.)
Let’s see how long this massive post can actually live up to your claim of personal belief.
I’m a Catholic, I have no reason to be sorry for being a Catholic, sorry.
“I have no reason to be sorry for being a Catholic, sorry.”
I go to church, I listen, I do what I’m told, I pray, I go to a Catholic School. All I want for the world is good news and love. K? k.
First off, I believe most gay people aren’t born gay. Science has actually proved, there’s no such thing as a gay gene.
DING DONG, you’re wrong: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1743-6109.2012.02785.x/abstract
I believe homosexuals and lesbians are ‘raised’ that way. Whether it be the environment they grew up in, or a traumatic experience (God forbid), or maybe just the way their parents raised them. I have no right to discriminate or judge gays, I have no right to judge or discriminate anybody, regardless. Same for you reading this, you have no right to discriminate or judge anybody by what they believe or are (so to speak).
That thing you said about ‘gays were probably just raised that way, or maybe they were traumatized.’ Two things: A) Has no basis in fact (I thought science was a thing you knew about!) and B) Is a judgement. And a pretty discriminatory one at that. It’s a discriminatory, hurtful and nonsensical judgement of both gay people and abuse survivors. It implies that homosexuals are just confused because something is wrong with them. It implies that abuse victims aren’t in control of their own sexuality. For you to say that shit is to victimize them all over again. They’ve already had control of their sexuality taken from them. By the way, what’s the data study you’re citing here? Is the lead researcher your very own ass?
I don’t want gay people getting “married”.
Well, have you considered crying about it like a whiny child?
Marriage is the church’s thang.
Actually, marriage is a contract under the law affording those who sign it certain privileges and benefits. If it were the church’s (ugh) “thang” (ugh) than atheists wouldn’t be allowed to get married.
If gay people want the same benefits as a traditionally married couple, I’m perfectly fine with Civil Unions or Domestic Partnerships. (Hey! If they wanna have a big palooza and get rings and go outside and have a lot of people for the big moment, great! I don’t care)
The phrase ‘separate but equal’ springs to mind.
I bet a high percentage of gay couples would be better parents than traditional couples. Plus, if more people were adopting, we could get rid of the lame excuse, “abortions are good because there’s not enough adopting parents myamyamayamaymaya.”
Now you’re talking about adoption? You know having children isn’t like a requirement of nor is it required by marriage, right?
I guess what I’m trying to say is,
Oh, please, sum up this shitstain of a post for me, one more time so I can make sure you’re as completely stupid, bigoted and anti-intellectual as I suspect.
I don’t discriminate or judge gays. I just don’t want something that has been in my faith since Adam and Eve redefined. Marriage was started by the church and taken from the government like, “Hey, that’s a great idea!”
Sounds like somebody could use a lesson on the history of marriage. I’ll let you work that out between you and your god. And by your god, I mean my god. And by my god, I mean google it, fucker.
BTDUBS: Transgenders are loco.
Three words and two glaring bigotries exposed! How understanding of you!
They say they’re a man in a woman’s body or whatever but that’s nonsense because if you were meant to be a man you would be man, God doesn’t make mistakes.
Oh, I see, there’s a magical cloud fairy behind all this and it doesn’t make mistakes. So, I guess you’re right out there with the Westboro Baptist Church saying thank god for dead soldiers, because they’re all part of god’s plan and he makes no mistakes?
Don’t you believe in fate? Or don’t you think things are meant to be the way they are? Don’t try and change reality or fate, it may come back to haunt you.
Kid, turn the TV off and go have some world experience before you embarrass yourself further.
BTDUBSDUBS: If you have any questions or hate for me my ask box is waiting… This wasn’t very clear so I guess I owe some explaining and clarifying.
BTDUBSDUBSDUBS: If you don’t care about my views and love me for who I am just keep scrolling, just keep scrolling, just keep scrolling, scrolling, scrolling, ha-hahaha-ha, scrooooolllling, i’m scrolllllling.
