On that post with the person talking about evolution having problems because of the fuzzy origin of life, I would add that evolution is not supposed to explain the origin of life, only how life changed and became more complex, etc. AFT the origin of life. Other theories, like Abiogenesis, concern the origin of life, but not evolution. So using the lack of knowledge on the origin of life when arguing against evolution is a straw-man, really, as that concerns a different theory.
