Alright, gang listen up. Part of the fun of my blog is when I take someone’s idiotic argument and reduce it to rubble. I know you like reading that and I know you like to get involved in it too. However, this kind of rhetoric is never OK, not from a humanist standpoint and not from a legal standpoint. A bunch of other people picked up on elnarcissist’s post so I’m not saying whoever posted the threat was one of my followers, but if it is, I’m ashamed of you. We can all get pretty heated up here in the internet and we’re allowed to insult each other. Go ahead: Call someone a fucking idiot if you want. But you can’t make threats. That’s more than offending someone. That’s indecent and it flirts with illegal. I implore you, if you are the one who said this, to apologize, even if you have to do it anonymously.

It’s no fun for me to tell people how wrong they are if it’s going to encourage immature people to threaten them.
