thank you so much for the kidney patient analogy. it is perfect - i plan on using it the next time someone tells me my uterus isn't mine to decide on.

Right on! I may have stolen it from Godless Bitches, but the ‘neighbor murders’ analogy is mine.

As an aside. If you think PP gives all the options to woman and their partners when they find out they are pregnant without it being planned, you could not be more mistaken.

This distraction is a thing I neither believe nor care about even a little bit.

get to say "I'm ending your life now like it or not." Now I'm assuming abortion in the case of rape is going to come up. Abortion for rape is ~1% of abortion cases. I do not support rape, and I believe that any woman who has gone through that deserves support while she overcomes such a disgusting situation. That being said it is wrong to punish the child for an evil mans actions. I do think woman who have been through rape need more support during pregnancy.

I don’t care about the conditions by which someone became pregnant or whether or not they’re getting an abortion as a medical necessity or as a convenience. That doesn’t matter to me. That’s equality. The rape victim, the medically endangered, the person who just doesn’t want to have a baby, the person who doesn’t want to be pregnant, all those reasons are equal. I believe in equality and in equality of opportunity and if you don’t give people that then the real, pragmatic consequences are worse. You’re asking for a black market in a medical procedure, you’re imposing some value-of-life that doesn’t matter to anyone onto people who don’t even exist!

If you find out your neighbor was murdered, it’s upsetting, it’s frightening and it may even threaten your security. If you find out your neighbor had an abortion, you can sleep just fine that night. Why? Because you don’t fucking care about your neighbors abortion. It’s not your problem. Go to bed.

Heads up this will probably take two messages to answer you. An infant/fetus you pick the terminology, cannot live outside of the womb that early at this point in our scientific advances. Unlike a kidney patient, the child cannot make choices about what they can do to stay alive. The kidney on the other hand is given the option to choose what courses of action they want to try and stay alive. Relatives are only one of these options. No. You don't have to donate your kidney, but you also don't

1) I actually don’t get to choose the terminology, and neither do you even though you’re clearly trying to for emotional reasons. However, the term is fetus. It is distinct from an infant.

2) The kidney patient can’t necessarily make choices about staying alive either. They could, and often do, die on a waiting list, there aren’t unlimited kidney’s out there, very few people who need them get one.

"Justice for ALL" not "Justice for those outside the womb and if it's convenient for you." And once again you are putting words into somebody else's mouth. I never said you couldn't state your opinion. But you keep you keep twisting facts to work for your benefit if that's the only way you know how to back yourself up.

I don’t see how it’s justice to twist a pregnant individual’s arm and force her to carry through using her body to support someone else. If the government can’t force me to give up a kidney to a sick relative who needs one and will die without it, why would it be OK for it to force a pregnant individual to give up another part of the body for nearly a year at all kinds of expense to said individual?

As it was decreed by our forefathers:

Reblogging a controversial remark with a strongly worded counterpoint shall be akin to limiting the original blogger’s free speech. For how can speech be free is others are using their free speech as well?

I don't give a damn if you're a mean guy or not. I want you to show respect towards others despite disagreeing with them which you did not do. Show everyone reading this where she said: she is better than anyone else, knows everything about pregnancy, or calling anyone a sinner? Murdering a child because you don't want to deal with the consequences is shameful. Seeing what she's been through I would say she has every right to have the opinion she ORIGINALLY stated! But you ignored that!

Yeah, sure, I ignored her right to have an opinion, by commenting on it, you’re really selling me on that. You do realize respect isn’t something you have a right to?

By making declarations about what is and isn’t acceptable to her, she’s seeking to remove power from individuals and since it’s her value system she’s basing her argument off of, and not, say, the Constitution of the United States of America (and to the republic for which it stands one nation, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.), she’s implying that she’s the authority. I’m explaining why that’s unconstitutional.

thatgirlpaula never said she knew everything and she sure as heck did not say she was your "lord." How about showing some maturity and trying to have an intelligent conversation with others who disagree with you. She responded with respect and you straight out attacked her. And if you read any of her bio you would know she has actually has an extensive knowledge in the medical field.

She asserted that the only acceptable situation for someone to get an abortion was a fallopian tube pregnancy. Her decision to permit this reason for abortion and no others suggests she is so well-versed in issues concerning pregnancy that she must be aware of every single individual case. Either that or she’s talking out of her ass, but that couldn’t be the case, right?

Why is it Paula’s decision to declare that fallopian tube pregnancies are OK to abort, but anything else is not? Why can’t it be up to each pregnant individual to evaluate the situation and make a determination about what’s best based on that and live with the consequences of that decision? You may not like it, Paula may not approve, but that’s freedom, that’s liberty.

I’m not worried if you think I’m a mean guy because I see uneducated, unqualified, self-centered people like Paula shaming people who need abortions and sticking their noses up and calling my friends and my readers sinners and evil and murders and, yes, I “attack,” if by “attack” you mean compose a strongly worded blog post on a public forum that anyone is free to ignore. Deal with it, kid.

It almost seems like you're more into insulting people then explaining your views. I'm not even sure you have a real point. just bashing others beliefs for the hell of it.

You don’t think I made my point clear? I’m not going to apologize for being passionate in the face of theocratic fascism. I’m can’t be sorry for screaming about oppression when I see oppression. If you’re talking about today, I think I expressed that people who are against reproductive rights are essentially saying they think they know better than a person in that situation and that that’s not right and it’s not how we determine law in this country. I may have also made them feel bad about it.They deserve to feel bad, what they say is shameful.

You have jumped to the conclusion that I have not had experience with anyone who has had an abortion or considered abortion while in reality I grew up with women who went through abortion. Don't assume that my adoption is my only motivating factor. I assure you it is not. If you want my full story you may message me. But know that apart from fallopian tube pregnancies, I am pro-life. Like it or not.

OK, so apart from fallopian tube pregnancies, you know every other situation is a murder. You are the judge of what is OK and what isn’t and you’ve got all the possible knowledge on this subject and have determined that the only exception, as judged by you, is fallopian tube pregnancies. EVERYONE STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING, THE WORD ON HIGH FROM OUR NEW LORD AND MASTER THATGIRLPAULA.TUMBLR.COM HAS COME DOWN UPON US! Maybe the government and every medical professional in America should consult you about everything from now on you fucking brilliant genius. You obviously know how people ought to live their lives better than everyone, why do we even have a government or laws or anything, let’s just scrap the whole thing and appeal to the wisdom of your opinion, like it or not.
